Open Terraria through Steam and if you did it correctly, then you can enable your mod through the mod settings at the title screen.

Go to Mods and hold down ⌘+V and it should paste your mod. This should have made a folder called ModCompile. Keep in mind that you don't navigate to your Terraria Installation but your Terraria folder where it stores your characters and worlds. Navigate to your Library folder (instructions at Section 2 of this guide) and go to Application Support, then Terraria. Keep in mind that the mod must end in.tmod, if it does not, then it is not a valid TModLoader mod. You have installed TModLoader, but TModLoader is rendered useless with mods!
